On a perspective after the Boston explosions, on lessons remembered

This time let’s not wait until later (too late) to insist on having all of the information. Prove patriots can ensure accountability in a time of fear and crisis. The relative standing of our civil liberties versus our disposition to allow the government to protect us will largely be determined in these next frenetic, exhausting days. Do not resort to any species of paranoia but rather act prudently in consideration of relevant fears. Communicate with your friends and neighbors about your individual and communal fears (including with possible objects of some fear). Allow law enforcement personnel to do their job but do not allow them to break the law – if you feel they are acting improperly, firmly assert your rights and demand/see-to thorough documentation. Surely we have not forgotten all lessons so soon. Love and peace to all. The world needs all you have.
